Video game developer David Jaffe, best known for the work he has done on franchises like Twisted Metal and God of War, is now a creative advisor at an indie studio called Pixelbionic, working on a video game called Autoduel.

The new experience will be inspired by older titles like Interstate ’76 and Jaffe’s own Twisted Metal.

The game will allow players to create armored vehicles from scarp and then fight other players, with an initial roster of 20 vehicles based on a variety of templates.

Gamers can customize their vehicles and will need to decide on their tactics and can join others in alliances.

Mike Arkin, the Pixelbionic co-founder and president, tells Gamespot that “Autoduel pairs the vision of the best talent in the industry with the enthusiasm and support of gamers, a combination we are confident will set the bar for what can be achieved in a new PC vehicular combat game.”
