The upcoming Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will get new content when it arrives during the summer and Dave Gross, an author who has experience when it comes to the Dungeons &Dragons universe, will be the man to write it.

The writer has delivered such novels as Black Wolf and Lord of Stormweather, both set in the Forgotten Realms universe boundaries, as well as Prince of Wolves and Master of Devils, also using the fantasy genre tropes.

The press release from the author also re-tells the story of how he joined forces with Beamdog and its leader Trent Oster, adding a mythical spin: “I was sitting in a coffee shop complaining about the lack of classic RPGs for the iPad when appeared in a sulphurous cloud and said, ‘Have I got a job for you’.”

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will be launched on the PC, the Mac and the iPad and will deliver an upgraded engine, more quests and new characters while also keeping the original core features of the game unaltered.
