14 DAY TRIAL // THQ and Vigil Games have confirmed that Darksiders II has special unlockables for those who have finished or at least played the first game in the series, in the form of a special armor and a unique scythe.
Darksiders 2 is set to appear later this month and, in order to get the hype going around the hack and slash experience, Vigil Games has been unveiling all sorts of interesting details.
Now, in order to reward those who got Darksiders 1, the studio has confirmed that two special items will be given to them at the start of their Darksiders 2 campaign.
First up are people who played Darksiders 1 but haven’t finished it. They’ll receive the Pauldron of the Horsemen, which is a level 5 legendary armor piece that boosts Death’s stats and his critical damage.
Those who actually finished the game on any difficulty also get a special level 1 legendary scythe called Chaos Fang that improves Death’s normal and critical damage.
These unlocks are given based on achievements, so you might want to start playing or at least finish Darksiders 1 before the second game appears, on August 14, in North America, and August 21, in Europe, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
