From Software, the developer of the popular Dark Souls role-playing game, will soon release a special update for the challenging title, fixing the flickering issue encountered on the game's PlayStation 3 edition.

Dark Souls came out back in 2011 and impressed many PS3 and Xbox 360 owners with its challenging campaign that required patience and skill from players.

The game's developer, From Software, has now confirmed that a brand new update is set to appear in the near future, in the form of patch 1.09, and it will finally fix the flickering issues encountered by PlayStation 3 owners.

No word yet on when the patch will go live but Dark Souls PS3 owners should get ready to receive it in the following days.

Meanwhile, From Software is working hard on Dark Souls 2, a direct sequel that's set to appear in 2014.
