The PS4 performance of the upcoming Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin confirms that the game is going to run at a 1080p native resolution and a 60fps framerate, so expect a much more visually pleasing role-playing experience.

Dark Souls 2 launched back in 2014 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms all around the world. At that time, developer From Software mentioned that it had no plans for a new-generation version of the game, but after a few months it confirmed that Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin would re-release the game on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 but also on PS4 and Xbox One, with better visuals and enhanced gameplay.

Now, as part of a recent preview made by Sony for the PS blog, the corporation confirms that Scholar of the First Sin is going to run on the PS4 at a native resolution of 1080p, as well as at a framerate of 60fps.

According to Sony, the better resolution paints a more pleasing picture, through a richer and cleaner look, as well as more responsive movement and combat, so players shouldn't worry about the grueling combat of Dark Souls 2.

You can expect to hear more about Scholar of the First Sin as we get closer to its debut on April 7 all around the world.
