Some new information regarding the upcoming DLC for Dark Souls 2, Crown of the Old Iron King, has emerged on the Internet via the game's Japanese page.

Crown of the Old Iron King is the second of the Lost Crowns add-ons, and continues the action in the Crown of the Sunken King, a DLC pack which proved to be extremely popular and well received.

The dedicated Japanese website features an image of the eponymous headpiece, and fortunately for those who can't read Japanese, the appropriate Reddit thread provides the necessary translation.

Coming from user Delicious_Skal, the translation allegedly goes along the lines of:

"Chapter 2 The Crown of the Iron King. DLC content volume 2. At the end of Iron Keep, lies a sot and smoke covered stage called the 'Tower of Black Mist,' and another challenge for one of the lost crowns. Erected within the untrodden crater are the shadows of a glorious past. Players who have not purchased the DLC can also be summoned to the more difficult area."

This seems pretty spot-on from what we know so far, and it would point to the large tower that can be seen during the Old Iron King boss fight to be the place where Crown of the Old Iron King takes place.

Furthermore, the info also suggests that there will be another cross-DLC cooperative area, similar to the Cave of the Dead in Sunken King.

Developer From Software scheduled the second installment in the DLC trilogy, Crown of the Old Iron King, to come out on August 26.
