The development team at Harmonix says that it will no longer be launching any new downloadable content for Dance Central, its Kinect-powered music-based title, as the various internal departments focus on the creation of new titles.

The developers are suggesting that more DLC for the game might arrive at a later date.

The update from Harmonix adds, "We’ll still be hard at work supporting the community with updated Live Challenges and leaderboards, and the Music Store will still be up and running for you to grab any routines you might have missed."

Recently, Harmonix has also suspended DLC delivery for Rock Band, after a record-setting number of months during which new songs were added to the series.

The company is rumored to be working on a new title linked to the unannounced Xbox 720 console from Microsoft.
