Video game developer DICE is apparently working on no less than 15 new video games based on the new Frostbite 3 engine, according to its own technical director.

Johan Andersson is quoted by the Official Xbox Magazine as saying that the new technology is flexible enough to work for a variety of genres and concepts.

The technical director is not offering any details on the titles that are part of the list, but it probably does include the already known about Battlefield 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Need for Speed: Rivals, Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirror's Edge and the Mass Effect game from BioWare.

On a number of them, DICE is only consulting and making sure that other teams understand how to use the engine.

Recently, Patrick Bach, the creative director at DICE, has also mentioned Battlefield 5, another game that will probably also use Frostbite 3.

The studio will deliver Battlefield 4 on October 29 in North America and three days later in Europe, on the PC and current-gen consoles.
