Karl-Magnus Troedsson, the leader of developer DICE, says that the coming Battlefield 4 might introduce a system that allows gamers to move accounts and saves between the current and the next generation of consoles.

He tells MP1st that his team has “just started having this discussion, so this is not settled yet. But we have heard that – I don’t know if this came from inside or outside of DICE – but that is being discussed.”

Many fans of the first-person shooter have complained that they will have to start their multiplayer careers on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 and then go through the same progression system once the Xbox One and the PS4 are out.

The game is set to launch in late October and I managed to get some hands-on time with Battlefield 4 during E3 2013.
