Cyanide might be best known for creating a recent number of games based on the Game of Thrones intellectual property.

However, the company has long been involved with cycling simulations and it plans to deliver a new Tour de France game for the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, even if no clear launch date is yet mentioned.

The developer says that it will offer better graphical quality alongside more commands that can be used to direct a rider at any point during the race.

Simulations for all the stages of Tour de France are included, alongside a 1 versus 1 online game mode and a database editor.

Cyanide also says that the Tour de France game that was launched in 2011 on Xbox Live and on the PlayStation Network was just a test version and that the new release will receive much more support in the long term.
