Microsoft has revealed that, even though it was missing from its E3 2012 presentation, Crytek’s Ryse project is still in development and will be showcased at a later time.

One of the most exciting future games that make use of Microsoft’s Kinect sensor on the Xbox 360 is Ryse, a first-person combat game that was showcased through an impressive trailer at last year’s E3 expo.

Now, at E3 2012, the game was missing from Microsoft’s lineup.

This is largely because both Microsoft and Crytek want to show off a proper look at the game, which wasn’t possible last week.

"We're still working with Crytek, we're still extremely committed to the relationship, but we want to make sure that we're putting our best foot forward every time we show the game," Microsoft’s Phil Spencer told Joystiq. "You'll see more about that game, no doubt."

As of right now, Crytek is working on man projects, ranging from Crysis 3 to Homefront 2 and a variety of other titles, but it’s nice to hear that Ryse is still coming.
