Crysis 3 is set to receive its first multiplayer expansion next week, in the form of the Lost Island DLC, which brings four new maps, as well as two modes set in a new tropical island reminiscent of the environment from the first game in the series.

Crysis 3 came out earlier this year and, while it concluded the trilogy of the first-person shooter series, it didn't really break the mold in terms of sales or critical reception.

Even so, developer Crytek has now confirmed that it's going to launch a full-fledged multiplayer expansion, in the form of the Lost Island.

The add-on brings four new maps set on a new tropical island, as well as two modes, called Possession and Frenzy, not to mention two new weapons.

The DLC will be released next week, on June 4, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms for $15/€15/1200 MS Points.

Until then, check out a few screenshots with the add-on below.
