14 DAY TRIAL // Criterion Games, the former Need For Speed developer, is preparing to unveil its new project at this year's edition of the E3 convention, as part of EA's media briefing.
The information comes from Spike TV's E3 All Access schedule, listed on GameTrailers, and also informing of an update on next-gen exclusive dystopic parkour game Mirror's Edge.
"Live from the Shine Exposition Center, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson reveals Battlefield: Hardline and world premieres nearly a half-dozen new games, including updates on Mirror's Edge, Dragon Age: Inquisition, a new project from Criterion Games, and much more," the description reads.
Mirror's Edge was revealed during last year's E3 show, meant to be a reboot of the original 2008 first-person action-adventure platformer made by EA DICE, in which players took on the role of a runner attempting to deliver secret messages while evading government surveillance by taking to the city's rooftops as a means of transportation.
Criterion Games was involved with Need for Speed Rivals, assisting Ghost Games in the development process, and since then has been involved with an undisclosed project. Although the project was mentioned to not have anything to do with racing, no additional information was provided on the subject for several months.
Now, it seems that we'll finally be getting an update on June 9.
