A Counter-Strike map creator has used the game’s editor to recreate a real-world school from Vancouver, apparently in order to allow a small group of former students to use it for their multiplayer sessions.

The Port Moody High School is carefully remade, with the video attached getting a number of comments praising the accuracy of the map.

A statement from the developer has made it clear that the Counter-Strike map is not linked to any malicious intent.

It adds, “This is a location we are quite familiar with already. Additionally, supporters and fellow alumni are also likely familiar with this location, which makes it an ideal common ground for this game and its intended audience.”

The Port Moody High School is not publicly available.

Counter-Strike is one of the most popular classic multiplayer shooters, even more than 10 years after launch.
