Consortium is heading to Steam, bringing its first-person role-playing game action to players worldwide starting January 8.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign that managed to raise $70K / €51K, considerably more than its $50K / €37K initial goal, developer Interdimensional Games has released the first game in their planned trilogy, available on Steam starting January 8.

Consortium is set in a parallel universe, in the near future. The year is 2042 and players will take on the role of a member of a peacekeeping force, bent on solving a murder mystery that might prove to be his undoing.

The game takes place entirely aboard a giant futuristic aircraft and blends the first-person shooter and role-playing experiences in a mélange that presents players with many meaningful choices and has them develop real relationships with the surrounding characters, seeking to present natural and realistic interaction between the player and the AI controlled NPCs.
