The Quazal servers are being replaced with Steamworks ones

Relic Entertainment has confirmed that it's going to release a new Steam version of Company of Heroes 1, plus its expansions, which feature a multiplayer mode tied to the Steamworks infrastructure, instead of the old Quazal one.

Company of Heroes 2 is set to appear later this year but, until then, many fans are still playing online the first game in the series and its different expansions.

Sadly, the Quazal servers that host the multiplayer will soon be taken offline, on May 7, so Relic has decided to release a new version of Company of Heroes, whose online mode is based on the Steamworks suite.

Some owners of the game have already received access to the "Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)" package and are advised to download it in order to ensure a smooth transition after the Quazal servers are taken offline.
