Video game developer Relic is delivering a new set of videos for its upcoming Western Front Armies content for Company of Heroes 2, which is designed to show gamers the units and the unique abilities of the new factions, the Eisenhower-led United States invasion forces and the German Oberkommando West.

The footage is pretty interesting because this is the first time that fans of the series are able to see how the two new armies differ from the normal Germans and the Russians that were the focus of the initial release.

Relic says that both of the newly introduced factions feature new tactical choices, new infantry units, more vehicles to bring to the battlefield, alongside abilities and upgrades that need to be mastered.

The Western Front Armies launch also introduces eight new maps for gamers, all of them inspired by the Normandy battles of World War II and a new progression system that gives gamers more options to customize their forces.

The new content can be bought as a standalone package later in June and gamers can choose to pay 12.99 dollars or Euro for one of the factions or 14.99 dollars for both the US and Oberkommando West.

Those who have The Western Front Armies can play against those who own the core Company of Heroes 2 game.
