Cliff Bleszinski, one of the leading developers who worked on the Gears of War franchise, says that he is willing to work with the development team at Capcom in order to fix the Resident Evil series.

A Twitter message from the developer reads: “Hey, Capcom. Call me. We can fix Resident Evil. Together. :-)”

The United Kingdom division of Capcom chimed in asking Bleszinski to bring pizza when he comes by and the developer himself then said that his original message was intended as a joke.

The most recent installment in the Resident Evil franchise, the sixth full game set in the universe, has received mixed reviews from the gaming public and many have complained that the series has strayed too far from its origins.

Bleszinski currently has a lot of time on his hands after leaving his game designer director position at Epic Games recently.

The developer claims that he is looking for a new challenge, but has not offered full details on his plans.
