Farming Simulator 2015 is a close second to both of them

This week's sales charts show that The Sims 4 and Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth are the PC crowd's favorite titles.

However, while the two mammoths were expected to be quite successful, the surprising bit of information is that Farming Simulator 2015 is a close second to both of the big titles, with a very positive overall reception and solid sales during its launch week.

Giants Software's agriculturally oriented creation is currently topping the Steam bestsellers chart, beating Football Manager 2015, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Granted, the management simulation video game is pretty well put together, but it's still surprising to see it ahead of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare or Lords of the Fallen on last week's Steam Charts.

As listed by DSOG, last week's charts reveal that Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth is the clear winner, showing healthy sales in its second week of existence, in spite of the lukewarm reception from fans, who criticized the game for not delivering enough new content.

The Sims 4, Maxis' life simulation video game, is leading the UK PC sales chart, regaining its crown after being temporarily bested by Civilization: Beyond Earth last week.

Steam Charts: 1. Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth 2. Farming Simulator 2015 3. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 4. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel 5. Football Manager 2015 6. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 7. Arma 3 8. Lords of the Fallen 9. Europa Universalis IV: Art of War 10. PAYDAY 2
