It looks like The Simpsons are coming to Minecraft in more than one way, as a creative player built and animated the show's intro sequence in the blocky building and survival game.

Mojang and Microsoft announced last month that a new content pack would allow gamers access to characters from The Simpsons sometime soon. The feature is launched on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 home consoles but will be heading to other platforms on which Minecraft is available sometime in the future.

This prompted an industrious gamer to muck around in Minecraft and create the opening sequence to the popular animated show, making use of the new character skins in what is perhaps the best tribute to the show made in Mojang's game yet.

You can also take a look at the other videos on YouTube user Bearly Regal's channel, if you want to take an interactive tour of Springfield, recreated in much detail in the sandbox video game.

The whole thing was made on the Xbox One, and if you'd like to create something similar, you can head to the Xbox store to grab the DLC pack.

Minecraft has a ton of pop culture content, including Star Wars, Doctor Who, Marvel Avengers, Skyrim, and loads of other skin packs, letting you play out pretty much every fantasy scenario you could think of.
