Developer Zen Studios announces that its CastleStorm title should soon be ready to launch on the Wii U, although an official date is not available yet.

The information is offered in a post on the official forums.

The game mixes tower defense mechanics and brawling and allows four players to engage in chaotic and exciting battles.

Nintendo has listed CastleStorm on its eShop page and it is supposed to be offered before the end of the year.

The game is already available on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the PC via Steam.

Nintendo has announced that it wants to attract a bigger number of smaller developers to its new home console in order to ensure that gamers have a constant stream of content they can enjoy.

The company wants to move 9 million devices to customers before the end of the current fiscal year, but the Wii U has not managed to impress during the first two quarters.
