Yoshinori Ono, the executive producer of Street Fighter at Capcom's studios, has informed the gaming world that a new fighting game is currently in the works.

Ono took to Twitter to deliver the news that Capcom is partnering with Dimps, another video game development studio known for its work on arcade and fighting games, including Dragon Ball Z, Super Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken, in order to make a brand new video game.

For the time being, the particular details regarding their collaboration are kept secret, the producer simply saying that Capcom and Dimps are looking for new colleagues to work on a fighting game.

Dimps was founded by Takasi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto, both of them experienced fighting games devs, and their most recent experience points to a pretty high likelihood that we're going to see a Street Fighter V announcement soon.

Back in June, some rumors surfaced regarding the company's plans to implement a sort of payment system to help new players who lacked experience, in the upcoming game. Street Fighter series Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono responded to the community's worries, discounting the rumors and stating that the company was in the "early planning stages" for Street Fighter V.

For the time being, we are waiting for the official announcement to come, and we'll come back with the news once it does.
