The development team at City State Interactive announces that its Kickstarter crowd-funding effort for Camelot Unchained has succeeded, with close to 14,000 fans contributing to the 2 million dollars (1.43 million Euro) goal.

Fans still have a few hours to contribute if they are interested in the core ideas of the game and a live Twitch.tv stream is currently running.

Camelot Unchained offers stretch goals for those who are interested in adding their money to the Kickstarter pot.

The MMO is designed to appeal to a niche of players who are not interested in fighting creatures in the environment, but want to join others in the big battles of a complex Realm versus Realm mode.

Camelot Unchained is expected to launch in 2014 and will come with a monthly subscription.
