The team working at the Amazon division in the United Kingdom says that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, is the best-selling game since the service was first launched.

The rest of the top ten includes, according to Gamasutra: Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, FIFA 10, FIFA 13, FIFA 12, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Zumba Fitness.

The make-up of the Amazon chart shows that the number of commercially successful franchises is rather limited and that gamers tend to be relatively faithful year after year to the same games.

Ketu Patel, who leads the gaming division at Amazon UK, says, “The success of Skyrim suggests that there is a real appetite for epic fantasy games, whilst Zumba Fitness's appearance in tenth place shows just how big Nintendo Wii’s fanbase is in the UK.”

The company has also revealed that the top-selling album in the UK is 21 from Adele, while the book that leads the chart is Fifty Shades of Grey.
