The Call of Duty franchise is Activision's most successful property, making the publisher millions of dollars each year.

Now, this year's installment of the series has been officially acknowledged in the form of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

A special teaser trailer has been posted, which you can find above, showing off masked warriors who hide their identity so that they can protects others. From Spartans to African tribesmen or Japanese samurais, the live action footage is quite impressive and ends with a shot of the presumed protagonists of the new game, who wear balaclavas with skulls painted on.

The full premiere will take place on May 21, the same day Microsoft reveals its next-generation Xbox console, so it's quite likely that the game will appear on the oft-rumored Xbox 720.
