Activision and Treyarch have just released a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 first-person shooter, this time setting the stage for the futuristic shooter and how it deals with augmented humans and soldiers, similar to the recent Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was confirmed to the world earlier this month and the full reveal of the game is set to take place at the end of the NBA playoffs this weekend, on April 26.

Until then, Activision and Treyarch have just released a fresh teaser trailer called Ember which sets the stage for the next evolution of the shooter series in terms of premise and general theme.

As you can see in the footage below, the game takes place in the future, in 2065, when mankind has already evolved to accept and easily implement augmentations for their bodies. The progression is fairly natural and believable, especially given the footage, and it ends with the confirmation that players will take control of augmented soldiers on the battlefield.

No other details are mentioned about the game, but you can expect to hear more on Sunday, after the NBA playoffs. Until then, check out the impressive trailer below.
