The new title in the series outpaced its predecessors

Amazon, the online retail chain giant, says that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the most pre-ordered video game in its entire history.

The performance is even more astounding given the fact that the video game industry has been in decline all through 2012 and many analysts have expected the most recent Call of Duty game to be affected.

Amazon has not offered clear information on actual sales of the game.

Those who have pre-ordered via Amazon are able to get access to the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map, which should not be confused with the Nuketown Zombies map, which is now available to those who have picked up the Season Pass.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was launched all over the world on November 13 on the PC and on home consoles and it seems that the game is already on track to break other records set by its predecessors.
