Developer Treyarch and publisher Activision announce that the final DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is called Apocalypse and will include four new multiplayer maps designed to add variety and one new zombie-powered experience called Origins.

The new maps are, according to AllGamesBeta: Pod, a failed utopian space in Taiwan; Frost, a snowcapped European city; Takeoff, a launch site in the Pacific Ocean; and Dig, based on two archeological sites in Afghanistan.

The zombie addition to Black Ops 2 is Origins, which will take players to France reimagined as a cyberpunk battleground in World War I, allowing players to choose between Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen as they try to stop the assault of the undead horde and a new mech enemy.

Mark Lamia, the leader of Treyarch, states, "It is the perfect culmination of our efforts, and fan feedback, with two all-new multiplayer maps for players to experience for the first time, and two fully reimagined fan-favorite multiplayer maps from past games - and Origins, our most epic Zombies experience to date."

Apocalypse will be first offered on the Xbox Live on August 27 and on the PC and the PS3 after about one month.
