The special weekend takes place on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U

Activision has confirmed that it's going to run a special Double XP weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 between January 25 and January 28, in order to hype up the release of the upcoming Revolution map pack DLC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 came out in November and has impressed millions of shooters fans with its fast-paced gameplay as well as the top-notch multiplayer that keeps players hooked on the experience.

Now, Activision wants to bring even more people back to the online mode and will kick off tomorrow, January 25, a special double XP weekend that's set to last until January 28 and span the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U platforms, according to the official website.

Besides getting people back into the multiplayer, the double XP promotion is also going to promote the upcoming Revolution DLC that's set to be released onto the Xbox 360 platform on January 29.
