Activision and Microsoft have confirmed that their current timed exclusivity deal for downloadable content remains in place for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which means that the map packs and add-ons will debut first on Xbox One and Xbox 360, and then on other platforms.

For quite some time now Microsoft has had a lucrative deal with Activision in regards to the DLC for the yearly Call of Duty games, as the large publisher launched its add-ons one month early on Xbox 360 or Xbox One, and then onto other platforms like PC, PS3, PS4, or Wii U.

While there have been some rumors in regards to Activision potentially abandoning the deal in order to side with the more popular PS4, it seems that they were unfounded.

Microsoft has revealed on its Xbox Wire that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will bring all its DLC onto the Xbox platforms first, meaning Xbox One and Xbox 360.

After around one month, PC, PS3, and PS4 owners will be able to enjoy the new add-ons for Advanced Warfare, just like the current Call of Duty: Ghosts, for example, which uses the same system of preferential exclusivity for its DLC.
