After a series of heated matches that have taken place all through the weekend, the team at Sledgehammer Games, publisher Activision and Major League Gaming are announcing that OpticGaming is the champion of the first season of the MLG Pro League.

All those interested in the action who have not managed to see the combat live will be able to take a look at the replays on the official site of the competition.

All the involved companies are planning to deliver a new season for the Pro League in the coming months, allowing high-level players to once again test their skills in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision have made the title free on Steam for the weekend, in order to celebrate the launch of the Havoc DLC pack, which is bringing four new maps and the Exo Zombies mode to the PC and the PlayStation 4 on February 24.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will get another three content packs in the coming months, and in the meantime the developers are also looking to tweak the core experience in order to make sure that the title is balanced enough to keep gamers engaged with its eSports side.
