The game is built on style, choices and a world that can react

Mateusz Kanik, the game director working on Cyberpunk 2077, says that there are many titles that use the cyber moniker but fail to introduce any punk elements.

His team will respect the legacy of the pen-and-paper title on which their work is based and, according to IGN: “We want to put more punk into ours. We do not want to make a dark and hopeless world. We are not doing Blade Runner. It will be full of rock and roll.”

Kanik has mentioned the old Syndicate, saying that the game has failed to offer players enough space to develop personal stories, something that Cyberpunk 2077 will focus on.

Both the style and the atmosphere of the new title are designed to put the player at the center of the experience, with a game world that reacts to his every choice and action in interesting ways.
