14 DAY TRIAL // Major television network CBS has announced that it is working on a show based around Draw Something, the mobile game that was created by Omgpop and Zynga.
The pilot of the show will be a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Embassy Row, and it seems that the core concept involves celebrities that play Draw Something on air for prizes and opportunities for viewers to join in from their homes.
Draw Something was downloaded more than 50 million times during the first 50 days after its release on mobile phones and tablets.
The game is pretty simple and allows players to draw certain images and then asks their partners to guess what they are depicting as quickly as possible.
It’s not clear whether Draw Something can sustain an entire television show, but mobile games seem to be ready for an invasion of other medium, as Angry Birds is also set to get the television treatment in the near future.
