14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Bungie is registering five new trademarks linked to the upcoming Destiny, for the names Cabal, Fallen, Glimmer, Hive and Vex.
The five names are registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Bungie wants to use them for game software, novels, television programming, ringtones, costumes and footwear.
According to Gamespot, it’s unclear whether the five are important elements in Destiny, which the company will expand on or if it is simply trying to protect its future title from intrusions.
The new shooter is designed to take players into the universe, exploring new planets and battling an array of enemies as they seek materials and information that will help the remnants of humanity survive.
The game will be launched on the PC and on next-generation consoles during 2014.
Bungie has already revealed that it will deliver exclusive Destiny content on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
