The developers at Gearbox have created an advert for the upcoming Borderlands: The Handsome Collection that was supposed to be aired during the Super Bowl XLIX event but has sadly missed the deadline for submission, and the studio is more than ready to now share it with the fan community.

The entire promotion is designed to be a joke and the footage itself is a spoof of the way big companies are trying to create ads for the biggest American football game of the season that are edgy and weird.

Space during the commercial breaks is very expensive and it makes sense for Gearbox to release the commercial as a joke.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is set to arrive on March 27 of this year and can be played on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The package is designed to deliver both Borderlands 2 and an upgraded version of The Pre-Sequel, which will feature all downloadable content launched for the titles.

Gamers who get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will also gain access to split-screen modes for up to four players and support for imported saves.

A special edition includes a real-world version of Claptrap, designed to appeal to long-term fans of the franchise.
