Gearbox Software has confirmed that the new downloadable content scheduled to appear for Borderlands 2 won't be bundled into a second Season Pass, as the studio has learned from fan feedback and won't force them to blindly buy new add-ons without knowing anything about them.

Borderlands 2 was released back in September and, alongside it, Gearbox offered a Season Pass that included four future story-based bundles at a lower price.

While extra features were added, such as the free Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, many fans weren't happy with the Season Pass, so Gearbox has decided not to employ it for the next round of Borderlands 2 DLC.

According to a studio representative who talked to Polygon, it seems that fans are happy with buying DLC separately once it's released, as they want to make sure that the new content suits their preferences.

As such, all the next DLC, including the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, will be sold separately.
