Gearbox Software will release the long-awaited Mechromancer DLC for Borderlands 2 later today and, in order to give players something to do before the arrival of the fifth playable class, the Skill Tree builder for the new character has been made available.

Borderlands 2 includes four different classes, in the form of the Commando, the Siren, the Gunzerker, and the Assassin. They’ll be joined later today by a new character, in the form of Gaige the Mechromancer.

Until the arrival of the DLC on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms, developer Gearbox Software has added the Mechromancer to the Skill Tree Builder that’s available on the game’s website.

Using this tool, players can configure different builds for Gaige and decide how they want to develop her once she’s actually available in the game.

The Skill Tree Builder for the Mechromancer is available here. The actual DLC will be released later today, October 9, for free in case you have pre-ordered the game or for $9.99/€9.99/800 MS Points in case you haven’t.
