Borderlands 2 is set to receive its sixth playable character class, Krieg the Psycho Bandit, on May 14 across the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms as paid DLC.

Borderlands 2 was released back in September with four classes, namely the Siren, Gunzerker, Commando, and Assassin. Soon after that, a fifth one was launched, in the form of the Mechromancer.

Now, after releasing plenty of expansions and new features, the sixth playable character is set to appear next week, on May 14, according to the game's Twitter account.

Krieg the Psycho Bandit will deliver a much more melee-focused experience, as his signature action skill consists of using a special buzzsaw to chop his foes to pieces.

The new character will be available as paid DLC, and it will cost $9.99/€9.99/800 MS Points for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms. Season Pass owners will still have to pay for it, as Krieg isn't included in their DLC collection.
