Borderlands 2 is set to receive a free update in the near future that will bring new capacity upgrades for the inventory, backpack, and ammo storage, not to mention for the Eridium, which is currently topped at 99.

Borderlands 2 came out in September of last year and, even if it was supported through lots of new content, including a fifth playable character and three story-based expansion, players are hungry for even more new things.

After confirming that a higher level cap, a third playthrough mode, and a sixth character class are coming, Gearbox has now revealed on its forums that a free update is going to include capacity upgrades for the player's backpack, inventory bank, as well as ammo and Eridium storage.

More specifically, the black market in the game will have new upgrades in stock so players will have to spend their Eridium on them.

A full list of changes included in the patch is going to be released later this week.
