Besides getting a major patch today, in the form of update 1.4.0, Borderlands 2 is also going to receive the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack DLC, which includes a raised level cap, not to mention more powerful E-Tech relics and even rarer Pearlescent weapons.
Gearbox Software is set to release a variety of great changes for Borderlands 2 today, April 2, mostly via a free update that adds a third playthrough called Ultimate Vault Hunter, and also plenty of fixes.
Besides that, the studio is also offering a premium DLC called the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade pack, which is also out going to appear later today, according to the official website.
The add-on raises the level cap to 61, allowing players to progress past the level 50 limit, while bringing new "Ancient" E-Tech relics and rare Pearlescent weapons that can only be picked up in the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode.
The new DLC is available for $4.99/€4.99/400 MS Points, but those who have the Season Pass can get it for free.
