Bloodborne will be longer than Demon's Souls, according to developer From Software, which also confirms that it will have a weapon progression system that will allow players to improve their gear after boss battles and that it won't have any form of censorship for its blood, gore, or spooky monsters.

Bloodborne is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives of the year, as it wants to offer a spiritual successor experience to From Software's previous titles, such as Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, or 2.

The game has already received quite a few details recently but now From Software's Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa confirms in a video, via Gamepur, a few interesting mechanics.

First up, there's a weapon progression system that allows players to continually buff up their gear using modifiers that act as rewards after completing boss battles. It's unclear just how big those improvements will be but you can bet that more details will debut in the future.

Masaaki also touches upon the length of the game, which should be rather long, even more than Demon's Souls which appeared quite a few years ago. Don't forget that, with the recently revealed Chalice dungeons, the replayability is also quite high.

Last but not least, he also shares that Bloodborne won't be censored in any region or territory when it appears on the PS4 in March.
