The development team at From Software is ready to reveal another of the bosses that gamers will need to face as they explore the world of Bloodborne, one which is designed to challenge even the most experienced gamers.

The official PS Blog announcement says that the new Darkbeast is powered by lighting coursing through its body and that it also uses giant skeletal remains to attack gamers and confuse them.

The team states, "With a long body made of only bones, and a wrinkle-covered skull, people say this beast must be very old, very ancient. Or perhaps, it is a descendent of the city of the plague of beasts."

The new title from From Software is designed to build on the legacy of the Dark Souls series, but it will significantly alter the combat system, giving players a way to attack at range with firearms and also encouraging them to be offensive in order to secure extra health after combat.

The universe of the experience is also designed to be darker, with a story built around a city known for its healers, which is actually home to terrible and deformed enemies and bosses.

Bloodborne will be launched on the PlayStation 4 on March 24 in the United States and one day later in Europe.
