The development teams at From Software and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan are delivering a new set of images for their upcoming Bloodborne, designed to show gamers some new locations that they can explore and offer a new look at the main character.

During Gamescom 2014, the new title also received a lot of details about the combat mechanics, which are designed to encourage players to be aggressive and to take the fight to their enemies instead of waiting for them to attack.

The fact that gamers have access to firearms, although in a limited form, also means that it will be easier to control enemy groups and to deliver a lot of damage up close before attacking them with bladed weapons in order to finish the fight.

The entire atmosphere of Bloodborne is heavily influenced by the gothic style and the development team seems to have a fondness for shadows and gloom.

From Software has promised that the game will be as difficult as Dark Souls, but will introduce a lot of innovation to both combat and to the story that will be told.

Bloodborne will be launched only on the PlayStation 4 and should arrive at some point in 2015.
