The phrase might also be associated with console versions of Diablo III

Video game developer Blizzard is filing a new trademark application for the phrase Cute But Deadly, which can be used for real-world goods and services, including but not limited to things like T-shirts, papercraft, action figures, socks and bottle caps.

The words in the application are not currently associated with any of the video games that Blizzard is working on, so the company is probably getting ready to launch a new promotional campaign for one of them.

The biggest project set to arrive this year is Diablo III on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3.

There are no cute characters in the hack and slash title, but Blizzard has already been running some weird commercials for the game that might be associated with the newly trademarked phrase.

A report has also mentioned Diablo III versions for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in 2014.
