The development team at BioWare is busy creating new content for Dragon Age: Inquisition, but the company is also delivering more specialized content that's designed for the most dedicated fans of the franchise.

On the official blog, players can take a look at a short story that's designed to serve as a promotion for the second volume of the World of Thedas book, which is set to arrive on May 12.

The volume will come in at 311 pages and will feature contributions from both the art and the writing teams at BioWare.

The announcement states, "In it, you’ll find an ultimate authority on myriad colorful characters, both legendary and contemporary, who populate the Dragon Age universe. More than 176,000 words cover three games, five novels, three comic series, and an anime feature film."

Food recipes and children's stories are also included and will be a companion to the first volume, which is apparently going through its third printing at the moment.

The short story offered focuses on Samson, a rogue Templar and one of the right hands of Corypheus, with the text created by Joanna Berry.

This week, Dragon Age: Inquisition players will get access to both a multiplayer expansion and the Black Emporium.
