Aaryn Flynn, the general manager of BioWare, says that the open world that his team is building for the upcoming Dragon Age III: Inquisition is very ambitious.

He tells CVG that, "So we thought that if we could take that and then layer on beautiful open-world systems and quests, that would be a pretty killer combination. That was a big priority for us."

The developer says BioWare chose Frostbite 3 as an engine because it allowed to make the Dragon Age world come alive in a way that Eclipse, its own technology, could not.

Inquisition is designed to be the a game that takes story elements from both previous titles in the series while introducing innovation designed for next gen consoles.

Dragon Age III: Inquisition will be out in the fall of 2014 and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and current gen devices.
