BioShock Infinite Religious Content Was Changed After Feedback

The story wasn't sacrificed, however, as the creator wants to maintain the plot

Irrational Games' Creative Director and the man responsible for the upcoming BioShock Infinite game, Ken Levine, has confirmed that he changed some of the religious content in the title after feedback from some of his staff.

BioShock Infinite is the next big game from Irrational and it has some big shoes to fill as the original BioShock and its successor, to some extent, provided not just great gameplay but also top notch stories with philosophical debates.

In Infinite, Levine and his team tackle controversies like racism or xenophobia and even touch on things like religion.

According to Levine, some of the things he put in the game, including a certain character, were altered based on "some very interesting conversations I had with people on the team who came from a very religious background, and I was able to understand they were kind of upset about something."

He also told OPM UK that he won't change any other things just to get the approval of others but that he is ready to listen to constructive feedback and act upon it if it doesn't affect the overall story.
