2K and Irrational Games have confirmed that their upcoming BioShock Infinite title will have a special treat for those who get it on the PlayStation 3, in the form of a free copy of the original BioShock 1.

Without a doubt one of the most expected games of the year is BioShock Infinite, a new title in the series originally developed by Irrational Games.

While it’s more of a spiritual successor of the first two BioShock games, Infinite is certainly going to entertain fans of the series.

Now, in order to tempt PlayStation 3 owners into getting the game, Irrational has confirmed that all PS3 copies of BioShock Infinite will have a free version of BioShock 1 included in their retail package.

As of yet, the offer is only confirmed in the U.S., but Irrational has revealed that the bundle could be extended to Europe and the rest of the world.

BioShock Infinite is out on October 19, in North America, and October 22, in the rest of the world.
