The development team at Irrational Games announces that the first episode of the Burial at Sea downloadable content for BioShock Infinite will be launched on November 12 as a digital package for all platforms.

Players will be able to journey back to a parallel reality Rapture, using Booker DeWitt and his detective skills to investigate the case of a missing girl, while Elizabeth offers support.

The date is mentioned on the official Facebook page.

The team says that it has tweaked the combat system and other mechanics in order to make the experience feel as close as possible to that offered by the original BioShock.

Enemies like the Big Daddies are making a return and players will be able to use new weapons and Plasmids to battle them.

A second episode of Burial at Sea will be launched in 2014 and will allow gamers to actually play from Elizabeth’s perspective.
