The competition will only involve European teams and will run throughout 2013
The independent ESL announces that it is working with RaidCall to launch the biggest DOTA 2 eSports tournament yet, which will run all through this year and will only include teams from Europe that have mastered the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title.The ESL is not affiliated with Valve, the developer of DOTA 2, and the overall prize purse is set at 156,000 dollars (116,000 Euro).
The official description for the tournament reads: “The entire tournament will be broadcast by ESL TV. Almost every week you will enjoy multiple days with the best matches presented live by our new Dota 2 caster; topped off by four live event finals every year.”
DOTA 2 is at the moment in beta phase and receives constant updates from Valve, with a full launch planned for later during 2013.
